No Tablet for me at the moment, just a Galaxy S....The ACER Iconia A500 is big enough that it would allow me to show a group of my Apple mates instead of one at a time, just how awesome android is.

This is my current Android tablet running 2.1 - its not the nicest tablet around - 256mb RAM/2GB built in/ARM Processor/1GHz/10.2" 16:9 Capacitive Screen.

Android Tablet

If I win this Acer - I would be up for giving this Tablet away to a Geek Zoner :) Another Competition?

I am a geek through and through - just would love a newer tablet that would run alot better!

Cheers,
Stephen

I want an Acer Iconia A500 tablet because one can never have too many gadgets. :D

Had a Tosh M200 tablet years back... great device but really the OS and special pen needed to use the touch screen restricted it.... (it's long gone so don't have a picture).

But now there's a whole market-full of applications built around a more suitable OS, and it'd be great to be able to swipe my fingers across a bigger screen than the one in my pocket.

I'd like one because there's no way i'd ever be allowed to buy a tablet (apparently it's a "luxury" item). if I won one though, i'd be allowed to keep it :)

Also, i was really impressed when playing with this at JB Hifi, really nice build quality, and love that usb port!

It would replace the 8 year old notebook with no battery that my wife and children use.

I'm fully done partying like it's 1999 and now I want/need something more 2011.
Cheers.

I have a bog standard cell phone and ipod touch, a tablet would be great for multimedia, online docs, ereader, basically everything I use my ipod for except bigger, better and prettier Smile

My iPod Touch 4th Gen is great but sometimes my chubby fingers yearn for something larger to caress and the A500 would fit the bill quite nicely.  Not to mention the name of it reminds me of my old Amiga 500.
