I can get a high spec Gasmate model (the Quantum Pro) for a pretty decent price, but I notice the SS is only 430 grade. Apart from that it looks ok.

Anyone had any positive/negative experience with Gasmate BBQs?

Gasmates suffer from the usual stainless panelling and everything else rusts... sadly I own one...

Whether you get a unit with a SS or Enamel finish, get a cover. You're looking at spend many $$ and another 50 on a cover will make it last a lot longer... where ever you live in godzone

Yeah - this gasmate comes with a cover so I am wondering if I keep it covered, when not in use, it should give me plenty of years good service before I start seeing rust.

I am a good 400-500m from the beach so don't get a whole load of sea spray, and the prevailing wind is not problematic either.

Might have to go with the gasmate - as it is such a good price.

Still get condensation on them in the cover and with no airflow it doesnt dry out. Mine seemed to rust more with the cover than without.
