I wonder what advertising agency charged thousands of dollars to dream that one up and what out of touch with reality, deskbound person at Telecom, thought that it was a good idea?  I know it is supposed to be "tongue in cheek stuff" but honestly wait till the overseas press get hold of it.

This has got to be the most idiotic marketing campaign ever...

I mean seriously, Telecom must be paying a truck load of $$$ to sponsor the AB's and then they chuck all that positive brand association away with what looks like a very poorly thought out campaign in an attempt to be "edgy".

It's supposed to be a joke, but I just don't think it is particularly funny.

Maybe it will make more sense once it actually starts.
Articles like this do tend to have a lot of speculation by the media that often turns out wrong

Since we're all geeks here wouldn't we be abstaining anyway?

I won't be abstaining or watching the All Blacks(unless forced too with beer)

I just don't see the point in abstaining, then watching grown men run around a field in tight fitting clothing. Some might, but I don't. Would prefer to watch the Lingerie Bowl!!!

as others have pointed out, for those of us who are married with kids,  abstianing is hardly a challenge.  It;s just something we live with normally anyway.

Maybe it is fair that we give up the sex for what will be less than 2 months.....

After all, the All Blacks have shown it is possible to give up for 24 years...., on bringing home the RWC that is.

Before the Spartans went out to battle they were given female slaves

Before the vikings went on their rape and pillaging they drank grog to the point that made them feel invincible/fearless.

The Persians would smoke ganja before the battle.

Come 2011 our mighty All blacks are told no sex before the game. I would of thought getting rid of all that tension before a game would help them relax and play better.

7 weeks no sex, don't drop the ball in a ruck man!

haha, so they say wouldn't be all that suprised. I wanted to add another word but GZ blocks certain words. So female slaves had to do.
