Hello to everybody, there's a german restaurant in lower hutt call Cafe Munich.Ph 04 586 2828 Here is some of the menu:


   EntreesBratwurst sausages grilled with sauerkraut and pan fried Potatoes                                                $ 12.50Thin sliced Kassler
(smoked pork loin ) with German potato salad    $ 13.50
Strammer Max (fried Meatloaf, on rye Bread with fried  Egg )                                                                   $ 12.50Tasting Plate
Germanys favourite cold cuts with traditional mustards, marinated vegies and pickles with German bread   $ 14.50
             Mains    

 Schweinshaxe (Pork knuckle)

Crispy roasted Pork - shank in traditional fashion on a bed of freshly prepared sauerkraut and potatoes                                                                      $ 25.00                                                                   Hungarian Goulash served with spaetzle ( home made egg noodles) and vegetables                       $ 18.50                                                                              Rinder Rouladen (Beef Roulade)
Traditional German beef dish filled with onion and bacon, mustard and beef mince, cooked in its own sauce, served with vegetables and Spaetzle  $19.50

Hi,
yes, we can do Eisbein, it has to be preordered. It comes with Sauerkraut and Mashpotatoes. Thanks

Hmmmm.

Just had dinner at Cafe Munich today. Nice Kassler, good Apfelstrudel. Shame we couldn't have the einsbein, because my wife booked a day before, not long enough to have it done. But will try next time.

I also got a little surprise from them, since my wife told it was my birthday dinner. Nice one...
