It's future value would likely depend on whether the team wins or not. Silver isn't that valuable at the moment.

Seriously considering it.
Also seriously considering turning up to the first match. I wasn't going to... but...

Only problem is decent seats are $450!

Yeah I read that the current silver value of the coin is $45-$50. So the coin is worth $100 or so really.

Is it not? I thought it was really high?

Its 2 1/2 times more expensive now than 3 years ago. I've been kicking myself I sold all of what I had.

Won't ever be worth stuff all. Market is far too small.
How many people in this country collect coins like that? how many pay lots of $$?

You wouldn't buy it for it's value, but rather it's significance :)

MICHAEL, don't cancel it, if we win the RWC it will be something of significance. A year from now you won't miss the money but you will still have this item from a potentially once in a life time event.

I was talking about relative to the value of the coin. If you are investing in silver, you are better to invest in nuggets or bars, the same with gold. Buying gold coins is an expensive way of buying gold, and most buyers will only buy gold and silver coins for their scrap value, not the coin itself, unless it is very rare.

+1 you buy them becuase you like them, not for investment value. My parents have lots of these sorts of coins that they have purchased over the years. They probably haven't gained value, and it they were to sell them to a coin shop they probably wouldn't recoup what they paid.

Noticed the google ads here have changed to gold trading adverts
