Apart from PBTech, which is having a Black Friday sale from 6pm until 10pm tonight, who else is doing BF sales?

Black Friday in US terms is the day after Thanksgiving and typically the first day of the Christmas Shopping Season.

It's also the day traditionally that the companies books go from red ink to black ink hence "black" Friday..

I dislike all these black friday sales and 99 min sales seems once one company starts they all jump on bandwagon.

I also don't mind the sales it's just the American jargon when it has no relevance here.

Ditto

So far as being a consumer goes the sales are great, so far as being a retailer (which I ain't) it seems that some are in a race to cut their own throats and those of their competitors.

Add a multitude of other NZ stores now pricing that way too. They aren't really sales, just bringing down the price to what it is elsewhere.

Its simple, cannibalize your sales or someone else will, they do it in an attempt to promote brand loyality, while improving or holding market share
