Im thinking getting a couple of tickets to Florence and the Machine next year (my wife loves them) but have never been to the Vecta Arena,

I can see the floor plan on the Ticketmaster website but has anyone been who has any recommendations on where best to go ?

I dont know if my recently surgically reconstructed knee can handle the mosh pit anymore ! So seats are probably best but I dont want to end up miles away of with a crap view from the side

I assume you mean Vector Arena? Recently went there for the Cold Chisel concert. For that the ground level was all allocated seating but everyone stood up anyway so that was kinda pointless unless you wanted a quick rest. My money next time will be on the first floor lower level towards the stage. Best view of the stage by far IMO, and most people stayed seated which would have suited me better with my own recently reconstructed knee.  Parking was easy just across the road and cost $20 for the night (get there early) Word of warning, food and drink is ridiculously expensive, but you have no choice, place is like fort knox!.

I've been to a few concerts and events at Vector Arena. Here's a few videos from two of them, where we had seats at either end of the arena, along with a screenshot of their seating chart to give some idea as to where we were. A lot of concerts don't have allocated seating in the floor section, although some of the bigger name artists for the... ahem... more mature among us sometimes do.

This first video is from Paramore. I don't recall the exact seats, but they were in Row V, with the seat numbers in the 30s. This row was awesome, as we had a glass barrier directly in front of us, with a drop to the seats below. It was on the same level you're on when you first walk through the doors to get to the seats.

The second is from Disturbed. These tickets were Row T, seats 99 and 100.

The third video is also from the Disturbed concert, but was for one of the support bands (These Four Walls). For this one we had got out of our seats, and were standing at the same level we had for the Paramore concert, but were a little further back (approximately in line where seats 45 would be).

Hope this helps.
