By the way I had a quick question, Can someone explain why my Send Direction Line attenuation is 102? I see others in this thread also have 102 on the Send Direction Line attenuation as well.

It's a bug. The previous version of the firmware didn't display anything at all, now there is a number but it's clearly incorrect.

Well hope they fix it then but not like I give a dam about it, I was just wondering thats all.

Attenuation increases with frequency but at least for 8b with the upload band being between the two download bands you can expect the upstream attenuation to match the downstream attenuation.

if im not mistaken, unlike adsl, vdsl doesn't matter in terms of upstream attention, certain fritzbox bits of code essentially remove the upstream attention from the display.

Hey does anyone know which day DLM considers the end of the week? Or do we think that it's 7 days since the last sync? I'm wanting to leave my connection untouched for a 'week' and then reset it to try to emulate the SNRM drop I got a week and a half ago. I think from memory there doesn't seem to be one particular day that DLM does its weekly resyncs.

I haven't noticed any pattern either, though we did have a bunch of people reporting DLM changes on the same day recently. My guess is that it would be 7 days since the last resync.

I also guess that a global re-sync of all VDSL connections on the same night at the same time might make bad things happen lol :D

Here's another question: do you think the DLM 'week' could be based on every 7 days since the line's INITIAL connection?

I think it's unlikely. Looking at my past DLM resyncs, they're not multiples of 7 days apart.

47 Hours since my last auto resync but the DLM... Today ends the 10 day testing period (or 11 days idk but my first sync was around 4pm), the time is 4:47am well no profile bump thats a bummer but hey my last auto resync was done at 5:33am so maybe it might happen again at the same time. well we'll see in 45 mins.

Will post another update around 8am or if I got on 17a.

normally hits me at about 4:47, if you watch closely, something i noticed is the connection starts jittering a little and not quite being able to keep up with say, a 720P live stream.. for a few mins before that time.

i assume this may be DLM doing some sort of tests or something..

Well No auto resync, bummer i wanted to get on 17a, well maybe it will sort itself out sooner or later, might force a manual resync tomorrow just to see what happens, I'm pretty sure my 10 day testing period has ended (my first sync was around 4pm the 25th june, Fritz says its been active for 10 days, 15 hours, 1 minute.

Has anyone previously got onto 17a in the initial 10 day period?

My DLM resyncs are always 4:11am.

And I finally got back onto DLM1 this morning :) This is the first time I've been on DLM1 without a SNR tweak active, so SamF some stats for my line on TSNRM=12:

12db 550m 35888 8b 1 0.07 12

yes after about 4 days, i had power issues with house, several resets to router, was on 17a super quick, however i had 0 forced line resyncs by DLM in that 10 day peroid, only from power issues

went from 40Mbits at start to low-mid 60s
