I've just been looking at different ISPs as my contract comes up for renewal soon.  I used to be with Orcon, pretty decent size provider, had my ADSL with them and the landline and I've been told by some that they don't have landlines anymore?  I could be wrong but the higher capped plans may be more affordable nowadays but I'm seeing a bit of price increase with the medium plans around 30-40GB.  They used to cost about $75/mo but they've now been more around $82 incl the lots from Slingshot, Telstraclear's specials now seems to be $82 as well.

Just had a thought if one has an issue with the connection for whatever reason, you ring tech support with the cellphone right, the 0800 calls are free for cellphone users or do you dial a 09 number or something?  I know some banks do this to their customers now (tele banking).

I tried to calling Orcon but their lines were too full.

Not calling landlines. I mean the Orcon Genius box package plan - if I have 5 jacks/phones in different rooms in the house do they all work or am I limited to the Genius box only?  They don't seem to list homeline + ADSL internet on their webpage ...

I have just changed to an Orcon naked unlimited plan. No the landline is not included separately as with previous plans. The telephone line comes in via VoIP (Via the internet).

The Orcon genius box has a RJ11 telephone jack to connect your standard landlines.

Thanks for that :)
Know it is possible but don't really wanna invest in the ATAs.  We have a few rooms with phones ...
