I don't think so. I've heard of people with VDSL2 connections which are pushing the limits (where the main benefit to them was more upload bandwidth). Mine is hardly in that category. I have a 45Mbps sync of a maximum available of 50Mbps.

As I have said before, the only reliable way to know is a ISP prequalification.

Well Chorus is the one that sets the standard, but yeap lets wait for the prequal.

Have been connected about two days now. It's all going good, very nice compared to what I used to have. Ever since the big storm we had a few days ago there's been quite a significant amount of static on the phone line. Chorus came out to look at it today and while it's gotten better it's still not clear like it used to be. The techie said he'd investigate further but at least the phones usable now. Had CoffeeBarron out to put in a master filter too, very professional and he did a great job.

I'll try to post some line stats but since I have only a few posts I don't actually know if it will let me post an image. One thing that does concern me a bit is the amount of errors that seem to be occurring. Is that normal? I have no idea. Perhaps it will improve if and when chorus fix the phone line. Also to note on the graphs is that after 10AM today might look a little skewed because we were offline while Chorus were working on the line. Perhaps I will see some differences in another day or so based on what he has already done.

Also can someone explain the spectrum graph?

Looks like your on ADSL2+ , yeah your attenuation was too high for VDSL.

Sorry not the best at explaining the spectrum bit.
Massive upgrade from before though :)
