I win :-) (At the moment)

I have a 100/50 UFB connection an the results I get are quite different depending on the server I use.

Orcon's Server maybe 85/40 but if I choose WorldNet's one I can get 95M/48M . Vodafones results are a lot slower.

Orcons/Worldnet Servers are set to multithread the connection last time I looked.. .. is Vodafones?
Maybe someone from vodafone wants to see how they can get the results consistent with all the other servers (from outside their network) :-)

Tim - using the corporate network is counted as cheating :P - but it's all good since I (would hope) JohnR will come and kick you out of the game.

The fastest I've got here in NZ is 100mbit, so meh, chucked a pebble.

Good test, Running off a VPN or did the test on a VPS or Dedi, I havnt seen a network that runs over 50 up unless its corporate.
John will see it and laugh, I bet people just stare at it in utter confusion. Lets not go post that in the threads where people had Conklin's or Congestion.

It was one of my NZ boxen, it's in a datacentre. I do have some 10gbit boxen in the states but I'm not sure if they're counted ;)

Here's a lovely ASAM speedtest taken during peak times for you, this is the benchmark for these speedwave tests. If you can beat it by 50x you're doing well.

I'm feeling a little bit smug for possibly having the fastest ADSL2 speeds in rural Whangarei. And this is not even the best result.

"Marathon - The longest distance tested." At least I get an achievement! Static IP on Snap! thinks I'm in ChCh but I test to Auckland.

speedtest.net won't store results over 1 gigabit for either upload or download.

Considering the top 3 are done via people who have near Gig Connections to the test servers I wouldn't feel bad..

Not in the wave, but here we go, from my Vodafone HFC 130Mbps connection...

To Vodafone server:

Then going outside their network, still in Auckland:

And then... To Wellington and look, no peering:

At some point that 130Mbps doesn't look so great. I'd rather have the plan increased from 150GB to 250GB than speed going from 100Mbps to 130Mbps. We never reach that speed anyway, too many variables. The plan increase would be more useful ;-)
