Just noticed the Layers have changed to this:

UFB is now FTTP and they appear to have a breakdown of 2014/15/16. However it appears the map itself hasn't yet been updated to reflect this (still uses the old colours).

Yeah, I see that the key has changed, but it appears the map is still the same.

Mine says I can get Broadband >20mbps, but I cant.

Woe is me :). Although it does say UFB due sometime June14-June15 (knowing where I live, that will be Jun16).

Thanks for this.

Had a look at Rotorua and not sure what it means. There is a dark blue colour that is "available now" and the rest of the city is a light blue colour. It's not the same light blue in the legend that means "Planned by Jun 2014" and is very clearly not the red/pink colours meaning 2015 or 2016.

Can anyone confirm whether all of Rotorua is getting UFB in the next 6 months (great news) or does it mean we aren't getting UFB for more than 2.5 years (not so good)?

The "old" blue, if I recall correctly, is "by June 2015".

Well I'm confused.

My house is in light blue for which the legend says means by June 2014.

But free text below says between June 2015 and June 2016.
Mind you it also says broadband > 20 Mps with correct equipment and plan and > 10 Mps. But no ISP can supply that to me or any others on our street or the streets on either side of me .. Exchange converted to vdsl more than a year ago according to earlier version of chorus map)

I'm going for the 2015-2016 estimate. But really expect 2016+ ...

A.

But free text below says between June 2015 and June 2016.

That's because the legend has been updated, but not the map.

That colour scheme seems a bit confusing, blue on blue on blue doesn't make for much contrast and the key blues and the map blues are not the same shades.

Is Chorus having a blue period maybe.

OP should throw in a link to the map to ensure everyone has a clue what he is rabbiting on about.

Hmm. FTTP: Planned by Jun-16 when I look where I live. Guess it's better than sometime in 2019 last time I looked..

Thanks to Behodar for pointing out (again) it's only the legend that was updated. I should have read the OP better.

Not sure what URL you are using but the legend for the public tool (chorus.co.nz/maps) is as above. We changed away from the red for "indicative" to light blue for "planned" dates some time ago - once these dates were confirmed with CFH.

Can you advise what URL you are using to get the result as posted?

The Chorus website I looked at this morning was: http://www.chorus.co.nz/network-upgrade-map

It clearly showed the legend posted by Kraven from the OP. Now is has changed to the one posted by Chorusnz.

http://www.chorus.co.nz/maps was showing the "colourful" legend earlier today but has now reverted to the "blue" one.
http://chorus.co.nz/maps as listed in Chorusnz's post above is just going to the homepage.

See how the blues don't match the Layer keys, there is a lack of contrast. I can't work it out and I don't have a vision issue. http://www.chorus.co.nz/maps
