johnr: Easy to cancel a order with Chorus

AFAIK the only time you can't cancel an order is once the technician has started the job.

Understood it as when a job that requires no manual input is logged, and accepted by the Chorus MAC Automater. It can not be canceled, this may have changed.

If the order is processing with a RFS* time for 12/12/12 and you want to cancel it, You have until COB* prior day, You can not cancel a job on the same day it is going to complete.
If the job for disconnect is 15/1/14 you can cancel that and the OSO* will quickly be removed. Allowing telecom to process a churn order given you are still with FFM as far as chorus is concerned. If not with FFM, You will need to do a new connection. Probably go through as an intact order*

RFS* Ready For Service
COB* Close of Business-day
OSO* Open service order
Intact order* When the lines are still jumpered to the MDF or cabinet. Automation can process a intact order in under 45 minutes.
