Hi Guys,

UFF have just finished installing the inside stuff for my fibre.

They have left behind a large box attached to the wall which houses the Huawei box, On other Fibre installs I have seen this floating seperately and a small (about the size of a phone jack) box where the fibre cable runs to and a seperate fibre patch lead to the Huawei box.

Is there a possibility of having this changed to the latter?

Problem being I have told my landlord the box inside will not be very big.. but I was wrong.

Are you able to upload a pic of the box?

It maybe just a white vented case, that has enough space for all three devices. They do this sometimes so there is less visual mess. if thats the situation, you don't need it.

I think that's what we had installed.  In a cupboard, so maybe they thought it was more for protection than beauty.  I haven't tried taking the white case off yet, it's a bit hard to reach.

Thats exactly it!

It seems to have the fibre coiled around the rear of the box around and spools so I dont think it will be that easy to remove.

I guess ill wait till the next house inspection and see what they landlord says...

Tell him how much the fibre has added to the asset value and how much extra rent he will be able to charge (after you leave, of course)!

He'll be happy as Larry.
