I'm looking for the cheapest naked broadband deal in the market at present. I don't need a big data cap, anything above 30GB will be ok.

The best I can find is Telecom at $55 per month for 80GB ADSL. Can anyone better?

cheers

You know you have to have a telecom mobile plan in order to get that price right?

Is that $55 if you have a cellphone with them, or $55 for everyone?

Slingshot also do Naked 80GB for $55/mo.

[edited when I realised you said you need 30GB; 3G won't cut it then, although it's ideal if you're my Mum and don't use much at all]

I think you will be hard done by finding anything cheaper than $55 a month (BTW Vodafone is $55 if you also have a On Account Mobile with us)

Any cheaper and it's almost not worth it for most as the ISP has to pay chorus for the line rental, NZ and INTL Bandwidth and provide support.

Slingshot has 80GB for $55 too, and with no mobile requirement (unlike Telecom or Vodafone)

So that is definitely a better option if you prefer to keep flexibility about your mobile plan (something you definitely should do considering plans etc are changing all the time)

It's brand new too so you're looking at the right time :)

Dammit, can't below I missed that.

So, Slingshot looking pretty good at the moment

yep, assuming the only thing you care about is price and you don't have any preference on quality of broadband speed or customer service.

I think you'd be massively surprised by how slick the customer service is at Slingshot these days. Your statement may have been true a few years ago - but isn't now. Far from it.
Average wait time is less than 90 seconds - I doubt there's another ISP out there that's better than that at the moment.
We track industry Net Promoter Score through an independent research company, and are consistently top of the pile.
Slingshot's service is actually REALLY good.

Speeds - especially on the LLU network - are really good too.
Flip (our sister brand who only sells services on our LLU network) has been top of TrueNet for the past three months.

Just my 2 cents anyway :)
