G'day Folks

I'm in Wellington

Currently have a copper phone line and use a Vodafone 4G mobile WIFI for internet access at home.

House is 1920s build.

Chorus has started laying UFB past the house and I'm looking to hook into this.

I assume whichever ISP I end up with will arrange for the connection from the street but won't attend to wiring/cabling inside the house.

Having used a mobile WiFi for years, I have no idea what I might need/should have by way of cabling, etc inside.

I want to retain the copper phone line.

What do you folks suggest?

Can anyone recommend a good installer?

Thanks n cheers, Gobit

They'll put the fibre termination equipment wherever you like, within reason. Just make sure you can put a WiFi router beside it and you can keep using WiFi. Of course if you want the best performance you'll want to run a cable to your major PCs.

What part of Wellington are you in? I used a general electrician who had a guy who does data for my most recent work.
