Hi,

I got family who have a few rentals in Whangarei, They want to install fibre for them so its more appealing and to just get it done.
Since they dont live in them they cant just expect someone to do it for them or them sign up for a 12 month plan just to get the install.
Is there any way it can be done so its just ready to go?

Cheers

I'd doubt it. Perhaps they could sign up for an unlimited fibre plan, adjust the rent to be inclusive of internet? At the end of tenancy cancel the broadband and let the next tenant sign up with an RSP of their choice

Could they offer, in writing, to the tenants to pay any early disconnection fees they might face within 12 months of installation?

No there isn't. NorthPower will only take the order from an RSP and as soon as its live the RSP will be billed for the circuit price.

Having said that unlike Chorus, Northpower will liven 2nd ports to different RSP's so there is nothing stopping you from signing up to a cheap RSP to get it installed however your still going to pay

Most problems are the result of previous solutions...

You could try contacting North Power directly and seeing if there's a way to arrange for an install, but I wouldn't be overly hopeful.
