I just had a check out of the Chorus UFB availability and according to it I should get be able to get UFB 100 by January 2015 but the big question is how reliable is the date on the website? is it more of a ball park figure - 'some where around January' meaning anywhere from January up to April?

so approximately Jan 15, could be sooner (unlikely) might be later (more likely). how much later no one knows, not even your ISP

don't get hung up on it, just check back with your isp once a month from jan

In my experience, "by Jan" means "first couple of weeks of Feb". Then there may be delays with actually getting it installed.

We were a 1-2 mounts behind the estimated availability date. In addition it took 2-3 mounts between placing your order for UFB, and the insulation being completed. I I assume the chorus installers are flat out at the moment in Auckland. For reference our install was fairly simple: cross lease where the only other party requested consent from us prior to us requesting our install and no civil works required (fibre ran under driveway in existing conduit).

sound like if you are in a multi unit dwelling it can take 12+ mounts...
