Snap. Will RDP into the torrenting machine on bigpipe but it will probably get the same since its using the same DNS on my lan that goes out by the snap connection.

It's not about the DNS as the Cloudflare is Anycast. Is about the peerings.

Vodafone, BigPipe = No, Snap = Yes.

It is actually an improvement. Up until recently their peering took them all the way to Singapore, adding 120ms to the latency. Around the time this thread started there was a network change and routing to Sydney was fixed, which brought it down to the current latency.

As mentioned in the previous page they do have plans to peer with Cloudflare in New Zealand but it seems Cloudflare started operations but Vodafone hasn't finalised the paperwork yet.

So we just wait.

Vodafone need to sort their peering out. I'll be pushing over a gig to them during an upcoming 2 day event via Sydney or California because their peering policy is poor.

Spark may not be on APE but at least you can shunt traffic to their subscribers via local handovers.

Also Jessie - I would assume since you (appear) to be peered through Vibe you'll already have access to the Cloudflare NZ POP?

For those who use Google Chrome this addon makes it easy to see what POP you're going through and if a site is using Cloudflare w/ SPDY and other technologies: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/claire/fgbpcgddpmjmamlibbaobboigaijnmkl
