The criticisms and investigative work by various people have been based on well-known technical methods like Waybackthen, publically available materials (Commerce Commission guidelines), and professional expertise (mine in terms of the legal stuff and others based on IT knowledge on data caps etc). I would love to flatter myself that I can bring down a company using a few posts but I doubt this. And what people's work have revealed is that UI doesn't occasionally fall a bit short but that they have a consistent trend pushing things right to the limit and possibly worse. At this stage, I have personally added all that I can offer but if UI is serious about community relations and customer service, they really should come back and actually answer the many unresolved questions.

I must say that the tone of some of these replies does not reflect well on us as a community. I feel you can state facts as you understand them, you can be critical of someone elses responses, or how they handle themselves in a particular situation, yeah I can get that too, but openly mocking, or making comments around popcorn (as one and not singling out anyone specifically) and getting amusement and enjoyment in seeing someone elses demise, it's a step too far in my book, as is gloating and "rubbing it in".

Yes you have a point here and I apologise to the community for my remarks around this. It is not often you get a thread like this and it is often easy to be caught up in the excitement + amusement factor behind it.

Well you got another $20 out of it since I just used your sign up link for a big pipe connection for my friend that is part of the unlimited internet casualty list.

The CSR that contacted said friend was adamant that they should only be using 200gb per month worth of data and was fairly rude to said friend (female csr Ben if this helps)

But to the credit of Ben he followed up my friends account (via pm on here) and stated that he was using alot more data than he thought he was using I guess that is the problem when you have unlimited internet and no way for a layman to find out how much data a household is using.

I agree. People are very quick to point out failures and revel on schadenfreude. Investigating and pointing out is fine, gloating is not.

Please people, you are being nasty and nasty is not good.

Hi Guys, There has been a large amount of discourse around this. I've definitely heard your concerns & as mentioned we are in the process of overhauling UI that will make things much clearer.

Thanks for your suggestions.
