Modem reset this morning, I am now getting the best figures I have ever seen, 64 down and 11up and I'm still on the 8b profile I am very happy with this, both upstream and downstream are on the SNR 6db

I've been getting a gradual improvements to bot upload and download, thought I'd compare to some of the stats people are posting and noticed my interleave depth says "none".

Had a fairly substantial increase in syncing rate on what is a very long line - was syncing at around 4000Kbps before but is now around 7600Kbps.

However, real-world speed as per a speedtest has not changed at all, and is still around 3400Kbps download.

Stats below:

Any ideas?

is your modem on multimode? syncing at ADSL2 straight seems a little strange..

speed issue itself is a qos issue likely on rsp side i'd suspect.

Sorry, is this what you're getting at? All of the below are ticked in the settings, with the exception of AnnexM.
G.Dmt Enabled
G.lite Enabled
T1.413 Enabled
ADSL2 Enabled
AnnexL Enabled
ADSL2+ Enabled
AnnexM Enabled (not ticked)

In terms of the RSP-side issue, is this something worth raising with them?

Cheers.

may just be something with your modem output naming then.

At i'd double check you are testing over ethernet with no other load on the network, test against a few servers.

past that, checking with your RSP i'd be asking what qos speed profile you are on (sometimes indicated as Provisioned speed)

Has there been some change lately in VDSL?

After the 998 rollout, D/L increased to about 45 from 35, U/L decreased a bit from 9.5 to 8.5.

Over the past week or so, D/L is now 64, U/L 33. The U/L speed used to be a bit "choppy" - now very solid at > 3x the speed.

No wiring has changed between the cabinet and our house - or in the house wiring.

Likely you have moved over to 17a.

this is all part of ddDLM.
