If you want to compare the server connection with the sample file download speeds, you can try Speedtest.net Mini speed test.

Made it large so it can be compared to real life downloadable speeds (around 7MB) every time.

Again, as I'm only retrieving the sample file results, so this is only for comparing your connection to the server.

I always use free download manager, havent used firefox to download for ages.
For comparison when split into 5 sections it took 18 seconds.

Did this before I headed off to work. Remarkable that it works at 7AM, but doesn't work when you want it to, which is from 6PM onwards. I tried at 8PM last night and it was giving me a download speed of around 240 bytes per second, and when I tried again at midnight, it wouldn't even start the download - and supposedly there's nothing wrong!
