Theclaytons:

Apparently they are trialing a process in Hokitika where they will install an ONT in every house regardless of whether they will be contacted to fibre. The benefits for this are fairly obvious in terms of speed to install beyond this and more importantly they do not need to keep visiting each town to trench new installs as this would have already been completed.

I'm keen to see how they pull this of, Great idea if they can though!

Not sure if there is any other update out there?

There's a bunch of these programs up and down the country. Enable is doing this as well.

https://sp.chorus.co.nz/product-offer/managed-fibre-campaign-process

As a result of our migration trials we are now able to provide service providers with our new Managed Fibre Campaign Process. By signing up to the agreement letter you will be able to take advantage of our one-day installation approach, which gives you the ability to market shorter installation time-frames to customers in a targeted area.

Key features of the new process:

  • Chorus dedicated support for your targeted marketing activities
  • Order aggregation to deliver a one-day install, where possible
  • Optional Technician Support add-on service (refer to table below)
  • Forecasting campaign planning and reporting functionality

Interesting, Chorus are implying that if you sign up for fibre with an RSP that itself signed up to the managed fibre campaign process. You could (potentially) get fibre installed faster.

Yeah Excel doesn't translate it nicely - I tried a few ways. Feel free to copy and paste it into a proper table

Tables used to work on GZ but apparently they no longer do; I ran into similar issues when trying to post a table a while ago :(

My area was labelled as "Auckland Fringe" in previous documents (and is still on Ikanos line cards), but it's not on that list. Would it be "Auckland Zone" instead?

"Auckland Fringe (Te Henga Road)" is what it was previously labelled as (synced at the 70/30 Ikanos max).

Many of the cards around here have been upgraded.
