My parents are keen to get on to UFB, cable was laid on the street last Thursday and the end point connection to the dwelling boundary was done on Friday.

Would it be too soon to call the ISP? Spark/2D website still showing VDSL only at address.

Could be two months away yet. When they start getting junk mail from different ISPs in their letter box will be the time to order.

yes likely to be too soon

there is work to do in the exchange and all the drawings etc to log.

just keep checking on the chorus site weekly to see when it says its available

likely to be a few weeks to 3+months

I think it took 3 or 4 months from the time they finished laying the cable outside our street to the time we could get UFB.

Look out for a box of weetbix in your letterbox. (Fibre to the door, get it?)

Once you have it then you can place the ordet
.

The only accurate answer to your question is a figure that's very likely somewhere between a few weeks and maybe six months.

When if UFB due for completion on your area?

You can call Enable directly (unlike Chorus) via the number on the website, and they were helpful when I called a while ago.

Enable have an address checker on their website, keep an eye on that. It should also give you an indication on when fibre will be available.

I wouldn't put too much faith in that, if you are in a hurry. I had good results from calling and getting my address added to the database, as it was going to take a good few weeks before they even realised I was eligible.

Depends who you ask. Enable website says May 2018. UFB.org.nz December 2018.

This is the area
