Hi, can anyone confirm this is true? even better @ChorusNZ ?

 

 

 

Had a business UFB order via 2degrees for a customer, Consents done, Scoping Came out, later sent a email saying it would be 5K to install, we didnt say no, just asked for clarification since the scope said it would be quite a simple job.

 

Would have paid the 5k for sure as the VDSL is useless in the area,  however Chorus cancelled the job instead of replying to that request for further information

 

 

 

2degrees say we cannot reestablish or even create a new UFB order from scratch for 6 months for this premises- this is a Chorus policy i am told

 

 

 

can anyone confirm this Chorus policy of having to wait 6 months to reorder UFB if they cancel it the first time?

Correct, The 6 month stand down referred to sounds like the consent one.

 

Nothing ever actually blocks a new order from being submitted, Chorus just may reject if a valid reason applies or in this case they'll typically just provide you the quote again.

All 2 Deg needs to do is issue a new Chorus Portal request, and make reference to the cancelled request ID. Chorus can then cross reference the two orders so that effectively they can pick up the new order where the old one left off.

 

The other posters are correct - the 6 month lockdown only applies where a property owner has refused to give consent. That is not the case here from what I can tell.

Thanks for replys have gone back to Mark @ 2degrees business to see if some common sense can be applied and get us back on track

 

 

 

for sure there is no issues with Consents, i had it in the lease terms the building owner must agree to consent, i had the building owner do the online pre consent form months before we even moved in,

 

and did it again after we ordered UFB, not to mention emails from UCG confirming it.
