Hi there.

I'm having troubles conecting my Toshiba Tecra M9 to my BT hub.

The Toshiba can detect the wifi network and will even go as far as signing in - It reads as"connected" and
will sit at "Aquiring IP Address" for about 45 seconds. It will then timeout with a "limited connectivity" error mesage.

I have tried dropping my firewall and virus software but this has not helped. I have also attempeted several windows repairs. This has only led to windows informing me that it cannot aquire the IP address.

The network is security enabled however I am sure that my password on the Toshiba is correct.

I am running a HP Compaq nx6110 as well. This conects to the wifi hub without an issue.

At the moment I fail to see why one machine works while the other doesn't.

Can anyone help?

What operating systems are on the laptops?

What type of security is enabled on the access point? (eg WEP, WPA, WPA2 etc)

Is the IP address configured manually or automatically on the other laptop?

Here in NZ we don't have BT so are you able to give any more details about the device?

Also, there is a Wifi forum which is more appropriate for this. A moderator will probably move it once they see it.
