NorthlandConnect: With our coverage, Northland Connect Limited are trying to lease all the high sites in Northland, these high sites are Kordia's main cell sites and are very high on mountians

Thanks very much Matthew for posting this info. which is of very great interest to me, a fellow Northlander Smile

Currently I am using the Kordia Extend network via the Mt. Hikurangi TV transmitting mast, which is about 40km away.

We are only 11km out of Russell, but cannot see the mast which services the town as there is a range of hills in the way.  However, we can see Mt. Tikitikioure (the highest point in the Russell area) as well as Opua and most of the Bay of Islands from some very high hilltops on our property.  No doubt there is a Kordia Cell Site which would be within the range of our 25dB grid antenna.

NorthlandConnect: As i stated before we are still in meeting with kordia to finalise a date that we can move our gear onto their Cell Sites, so i cannot publish a date till that time has come, I can say that im pushing for 2-3months time but that is not certain

I will wait eagerly for further details as our current contract expires in October and I will be looking for a Faster/Cheaper plan than current Kordia 256k/128k that I am on at the moment.  5Mbps would be simply awesome.  I never dreamed of getting this speed from our location Cool

Keep me posted regarding any developments please Smile
