The Southern Cross cable system is getting quite old now.

 

 

 

 

I can't imagine that it won't get section replacements though.  SCX has proven to be a very robust business, so I think it's shareholders are likely to keep it alive well into the future.

 

 

Agreed and its paid dividends for the owners.

No, Hio77 is correct. The path affected also is used by SCX for the Equinix node.

 

 

 

 

Well my Equninx - Mayoral drive SC circuit saw no hit.

 

 

Possibly you use the other leg? the likes of GGI just switched away from the affected path along SCX..

Yea, different fiber path to the landing station. Mind you there is always the other path to Global switch and the TGA path....  hehe... sorry, couldn'd help myself!

Yep, kind of like Hawaiki's landing sites **sigh**. You have to say we have been a little spoiled by SC landing where we actually can use it. Well, giving away all the Telco secrets here, better go back behind the screen.
