I'm probably gonna answer this question myself, but I've just got an update from my ISP (bigpipe) saying that my fibre order is at the Network Build stage and won't be completed till 19th June 2018 - I'm guessing they're still rolling out the fibre to the cabinet maybe? Or is it something different

Usually that's them getting it to your premises I think?  And that date will be the earliest they can line up Chorus or their subcontractor...

Someone might correct me...

Network Build is the part where they get the fiber from the kerb to your front door.

Probably just the MDU/complex build part of the install is due to be completed by then. Or it is just the actual network build itself.

Either way, once it's done you will then wait another month for them to "update records" because that's obviously how long a database query takes in Chorus land.

Apparently they have 20 databases across Chorus, their contractors, and subcontractors and that's why it takes so long...
