Hello everyone   i am new to this site, and was wondering if i could pick everyones brains for some information

I am currently on xtra's adventure plan  and i am thinking of upgrading to their  Pro plan ( no throttle on upload speed )  my dsl router  is fairly old Dynalink RTA210  have had no problems with it at all .

My question is would i need to upgrade my modem to get any increase in download and upload speeds ?

my current line speed is 4.09 Mb/s  and my average is  3.4 Mb/s

upload is only       0.14 Mb/s

Thanks in advance for any advice , oh and i live in the waikato in a non adsl2+  area

Based on the fact that your on a ADSL1 DSLAM there is no advantage in changing modems, assuming its connecting at the correct rate for the line conditions.
