As the title suggests... any issues at present?  ~200ms+ to WoW classic servers (Sydney?) when it was ~35ms yesterday. 

 

Trace routes appear to jump at GG exiting across to LA. Should be Sydney direct AFAIK.

 

Checking with my eldest son who is with Orcon, and he's at the expected normal of ~35ms in WoW classic, same server.

 

Anyone else?

 

I should also mention that connecting to WoW BFA servers is fine i.e. ~35ms (Sydney also)

 

And just to show two different ISP traces... obviously my son's is the path across to Aus (post-local gateway)

Yea I have the same issue today too, half my guild thats in NZ are also having ping issues. A few said they are on Vodafone too so it seems like multiple ISPs are affected.

 

Heres my tracert, I'm on Bigpipe but I think its just the same as spark these days.

Seeing as multiple providers affected, maybe Blizzard are under DDoS attack and traffic needs to be sent for scrubbing via alternate internet exchange points, upstream providers.

Your provider does not peer and really does not care much about sub optimal routes for such things, if you want optimal routing change to a provider who peers.

Issues have been Highlighted. We are engaging with the Operational teams to sort this.

 

 

 

Note, this looks to be an issue further upstream than GGI for spark/Bigpipe.

Can you see how it's working now (particularly overwatch since i can't really test that right at this second?)

 

our network team have worked with Blizzard on some changes that should have improved things.

I have the same issue, Cael/nagrand. I’m in New Zealand on Vodafone. It only started since patch.

 

The ping Looks high, I thought it was a UI bug in the latency meter, doesn’t Feel like i have a 200ms ping.

 

I thought I’d broken the QoS on my router changing things the other day to stop my new iphone syncing from ruining my ping lol.

Trying to get help from Vodafone, is like trying to talk to a Cat and expect an intelligent reply.

I gave up on vodafone support years ago, they are ignorant and useless.
