Can anyone enlighten me on the process of a "remote broadband install"? My son requested installation of his own broadband and the ISP & Chorus have advised that it's all ready to go but I have not seen anyone come out to my place to physically connect up to a "jack point". How can this work??

It depends. Is this fiber or xDSL? If it's fiber I think there's a second "circuit" that can be enabled that comes over the same physical line.

Need more information. Depending on the type of connection and what you requested a tech won't visit as there is no need.

ADSL2+. VDSL & Fibre are not possible at the moment and no timeframe available.

If it's an intact line Chorus don't send a technician. They just turn it on from their end. Plug your modem in and see if it syncs. If not, do an isolation test. If you can't get sync at any jackpoint, contact your ISP.
