Either that or just wait for the modem from Xtra.
Xtra's BB Helpdesk aren't able to walk you through setting up a non-Xtra supplied router I don't believe, and are able to provide settings only.

Hey guys, Long story Ill try explain cause something weird is happening so bare with me. Ok well I originally wanted to change from Telstra Clear because my plan FS/128k was the same price as the Xtra plan FS/FS for 10gb and because I play Xbox Live I wanted FS Upload so I could get host more often when I play against aussies. Now Im still waiting for my new modem from xtra, so I was checking my speed on "speedtest.net" and for some weird reason I got 503kb upload on my test when every other time I had checked since I have been with telstra i only get like 130kb upload. Now can someone clear this up for me why im getting FS upload because Im still connected through Telstra Clear, even says on the speedtest. So um yeah please help lol.

Below is the result when I connect to Wellington.

It looks likes speedtest is stuffing up. If you're on ADSL1, it's impossible to get 9601Mbps (the max is ~8Mbps).

So, a few things that may be causing this:
1) Speedtest is broken or the file is being cached somewhere causing excessive result speeds.
2) You've been switched to a cabinet (or your exchange actually has ADSL2+) after signing up with Xtra, and since the Xtra plans are all FS/FS, you've got a better upload speed.
3) A combination of the above two.

192.168.1.254 or 10.0.0.138 is the default address.

Here's the process for it.

STEP 1
Set the computer with a static IP address

Note that the computer you are trying to redirect traffic to should have a static IP address. In the example the computer is set to 192.168.1.100 address. The Default Gateway address and DNS Server addresses should also be specified (it should be the router’s LAN address: 192.168.1.254)

STEP 2
Log in to the router by opening a web browser and typing 192.168.1.254 or 10.0.0.138 in the address bar.

By default there is no password associated with the default user “Administrator”

Note: If you have assigned a password to this username or have set another user as default you will be required to enter those credentials before you can access the modem interface.

STEP 3
Click on Toolbox

STEP 4
Click on Game and Application Sharing

STEP 5
Click on Assign a game or application to a local network device

STEP 6
Choose the game or application you wish to redirect from the list

STEP 7
All computers connected to the modem are displayed here.
A computer whose IP address is assigned by the modems DHCP server will show with the network name
A computer with a static IP address shows as "Unknown+[mac address]"
Choose the PC name or Mac Address that is correct for the computer you want traffic redirected to from the list.
Click on Add button

STEP 8
Any rule created will be displayed above the application list

???
PROFIT
