The only way to do what you are suggesting is to attach your current prepay number to a data account.

This however does mean you can not have txt2000 or bestmate or be part of vodafone family.

So there are 3 options -

1 - Stay on prepay and pay $1 per day for 10mb then $1 per mb thereafter.

2 - Move your number to a data plan with voice enabled and lose bm, t2000, vfam.

3 - Have 2 simcards (and or 2 devices)

OK, so you are saying that you can get the 3G data plan on Prepay...but John is saying No...
Does this mean, it can be done using a workaround...but its not what Vodafone intended or wants?

When you say, 'attach you number to a data account'....how does one do that?

Does it mean simply, Vodafone take a data only SIM, assign it your current mobile number, and then you have access to the 3G data plan and your mobile number at the same time while on Prepay...

But the Prepay would only apply to the calling side...effectively you would be on-account as paying $80 monthly for 3G of data with no contract yes?

So why can't one have BM, vfam, t2000 etc when using this method...please explain how it works...have you tried this?

Think of it this way.
Pretend you are number porting your number from prepay to on account with data only.

Bestmate, txt2000 and vodafone family are only available when you have prepay or you choose.
As you don't want you choose then you would loose availability to these sevices.

You could have you choose 20 + a txt addon + bestmate + 3gb of data.
But you say you don't want any minutes.
