If we put aside, for a nanosecond, how totally 100% unnecessary that step EVER is.....
you will not break Chorus ONTs by doing that, they'll reset, re-download their config and be OK.
I think it might have been an applicable step for ONT RGW mode which they did run in the past.
We've never given that guidance, nor have I seen it required.
I used to be with Zeronet but have since move to a different provider due to their lack of customer support (difficult to contact) and they cancelled my Hyperfibre order thus, caused massive delays in getting the right connectivity
