Here are some SamKnows speed results for a friend's dish. In a friendly challenge, would anyone like to guess when the dish transitioned to a deprioritised status? (I'll reveal the actual date tonight.)

Changed over on 23rd March so waited a few days to post this.. No noticeable change in service here. (Close to Hastings Hawkes Bay, Gen 1 dish using ethernet and my own router and Google wifi mesh).
My SamKnows box shows a bit of a temporary drop - but nothing I haven't see before, The SamKnows is plugged in ahead of any network.
I was led to believe that form day 1 the Standard plan was 100 down - and the figures of 250 or 350 or more are just the potential speeds that you could get (which show up when you first connect up and for the first few days - until you are throttled down).
Or am I wrong?
The longer term graph is also inconclusive...

Sure look like something is reducing your speed to 100 MBit, especially since the variation in your speed plot is much smaller than what others see. Over the same period as your monthly plot, using a Gen 1 dish in Tasman, SamKnows gives speeds around 240 MBit (and has done for the 2 years I've had it). I also changed to deprioritized on 23 March with no noticeable difference so far.

I've taken the Samsknows "time of day" data and made a graph showing the trends for the 13 days before and after the transition. The Easter holidays likely played a part in dragging down the deprioritised speeds a bit. We'll probably get clearer results in a month or two.

pretty good on d.plan. - this was on the standard mount out on the grass. Mounting it tonight and routing it to its permanent position. But so far happy.
