Ok, we all had our time.

  • Someone pointed out a new offering.
  • Pricing questions were raised.
  • A person related to the company made unfounded legal threats.
  • The threat was disclosed publicly.
  • People raised more questions about previous companies and the viability of such services.
  • A person related to the company then registered a sock puppet account, providing misleading statements about their relationship with the company.

I think it summarises the thread so far.

Bahahaha! This is nuts. Good on the Geekzone community for calling it out. I wonder if a connection will ever be provisioned?

So if you search the WHOIS data of the domain, it is registered to a german register with details with that is connected to a travel agency.

It is only 12 days old too!

The rabbit hole goes deeper.

The TDR vetting process must be non-existent…

@3l3m3nt I have removed your second reply. Please do not post anything that is not factual unless you clearly state it is an opinion.

We do not want to give The Chairman reasons...

This is not true. I can say @panda69nz is The Chairman of the company., based on the email identification data included when the message was sent to me.

In my opinion @panda69nz, The Chairmain is using a Sock puppet account - Wikipedia and therefore not engaging in good faith.

Imagine supposedly going to Police saying something is harmful because it’s untrue and then seemingly putting themselves in it by making a sock puppet account and in doing so potentially breaching s13(f) of the Fair Trading Act by making a false or misleading representation about their own affiliation with the services.

Which, because I'm bored (ok, procrastinating actually), I had a nosey at their website, spotted the phone number and called it. The recording is in a foreign language (unsure what) - so a bit strange to have a company registered in NZ, with an English-language website, but the phone service overseas and in another language.

Another interesting thing (perhaps just a tiny problem with their website template, so here is some "free" user testing).

When I first received the email I visited the website on my phone. I thought it was strange there was a flag on the homepage. As I said, probably the template is not completely customised.

The flag of the Republic of Liberia (you won't see the star on a narrow phone, but on a foldable it's like this):

Today's update received via email:

The Chairman: Geekzone (Website comments): want the truth or you still want to think you are a man

I have read the statements on your platform and laughed so much.
I can't believe that people would waste time trying to act like man. Sorry little kids in the play ground.

If you believe there is a mental health issue maybe that is something to keep to your self. As I am sure your employer at spark doesn't want their employee to cause harm in the marketplace.
If you own or operate another telco business that isn't a TDR member or a TIO member then I would question your position in the real world.
If you control a platform that links to lots of Affiliated platforms and work for a marketing style company I would also be careful on how I would use the platform you control. As there could be an issue with that as well within the Law.

And just so you know I have been in this industry for a very long time including when the gentleman from the North Shore sat at a kitchen table in Hamilton and New Zealand Telecommunications was launched you would know it as 2 degrees which was sold to Vocus (an Australian company) which also took over Slingshot etc.  What ever happened to ihug and the satellite service they first offered before starlink?

You would know why My republic pulled out of New Zealand and why 2 degrees took over internet services and One took over their mobile which is now branded as rocket.

You would know there is a lot to the industry that can be offered from international data market than is on offer in New Zealand.

So if you guys have any balls and want to make the claims you do make sure your statements are 100% correct.

As for the person talking about our waste program, we believe in recycling and will be launch our return and earn vending machines in 2025. unlike others in the industry we can supply services and off set pricing with recycling. But lets face it.

As for the website I would talk to the designers who did the work and I'm to release their information as they caused us problems from their design. So maybe take your issue up with them.

To build a better work is not about profit. But I can tell you this I have build a number of businesses and sold them to others for a profit and as for my seed fund yes they have very very deep pockets and a large team of lawyers too. (that's not a threat) and one of the investor is very well known  within the industry

As for the states made when people have their second connects I am sure they will be happy. And if they are not I am sure they will write something on here to point out their view.

One of the best things I have learnt in this industry is you can talk crap and con people out of money with services or you can do what is right. From what I see no one so far is doing what is right yet.

And you know what data and minute swapping is? if you dont than maybe you need to learn more about what agreements are made behind closed doors. After all I see most of you are on the exec teams of the telco's or marketing companies you work you.

If I want to launch a $1 a day internet I have every right to do so. I have nothing to hide and I have all the contracts and agreements including the satellite services and global IoT etc. I don't have anything to hide but others do.

As for the greater.co.nz domain its with godaddy.com I have been a partner with them from 2006 And I can't wait to see how you all write about one.nz and starlink (once this goes wrong or people have issues)

Anyone know the reason Vodafone pulled out of NZ or why Bell South and Clear closed their doors?

I'm very open and the fact GBGA (GBT) has already over 1200 clients most of which come from our supplier agreement with MSD and some community support groups helping others services they can't afford.
The funny thing I come off a farm and learnt so much in my life born in Tauranga I know my IWI my Mount my Water and my life.  My family come from the Far North and I work with IWI's to support better services and help to people.

As for our data only eSIM plans if you want a 1GB FREE TEST account just let me know and I will send QR codes for people to test and see the truth. You don't need to have services supplied onshore when it comes to the industry.  But as I have nothing to hide unlike others and for its about people not profit.

and as for the trolling style reviews and statements that is up to the person who wrote it. And it should make them very happy in doing so. The truth is keep it up as in the end only one person walks away from a fright standing up.  Please show this message to everyone on the platform too as it will give them more to talk about and we here can keep up our laughing and wetting our pants because of how you believe you are causing harm in your statements.

May you all have a great time and please keep it up as it must make you all feel better.

Then a second email 12 minutes later:

The Chairman: Geekzone (Website comments): sorry forgot to add this

must be funny that the founder of Vetta Group has signed up for a connection. Is Shaun Fisher worried that someone is doing something he cant do?
or is it esplonage?  Funny forgot about that and the fact that he is on a 36 month contract for service. And why isn't Vetta Group and its businesses members of the TDR do they not thing its right to allow rules in the market place when it comes to clients and their rights?

Come on someone is worried that they may low business or face harder times

Bet you will not show this on the platform as its funny another telco owner would sign up for services from another provider. I think this is great marketing looking for to the new ad showing Mr Fisher smiling face as the customer of Greater Bay Group Aotearoa.

I think The Chairman forgot that he can't use the image of a person in any creative content, including advertising, without a signed release form. It would be hilarious if a Facebook ad started running and The Chairman was dragged in front of Privacy Commissioner because it.

@saf, this person sent me your PII (account number and email address), which I removed from this post. The company seems to be in breach of the Privacy Act 2020. You should contact the Privacy Commission and report this breach. I can provide the email as evidence.

So um...

My Republic Mobile was always selling One NZ wholesale. Even after MyRs fixed departure and rebranded into Rocket Mobile. One NZ hasn't taken over... The deal is still the same as it was, so I'm glad I can immediately debunk that.

Also Vodafone didn't pull out of NZ. Brookfield and Infratil bought the company out and then a few years later Infratil brought the rest and dropped the licensing deal for the Vodafone brand.

I'd like to see a genuine testimonial and actual evidence that there are 1200 connections. I don't know how this business model is sustainable when the LFC prices are above the cost of the plans.

I'd also would like to know the difference between the $55 4G FW service and the $60 one.
