wlgspotter: Yeah I am still seeing problem with my WAG310G.  The modem stops and connection will drop when running multiple streams of traffic, especially torrents.  I have updated to the latest firmware provided by Maverick but it still does not work.  Would be great to hear if anyone has any solutions to this issue.

Try reducing the number of peers per torrent in your torrent software, and limit it to 1 torrent at a time. I have mine set to max 60 connections and 1 download, which seems to reduce the chance of having to reboot after every torrent. Its not a Linksys but torrents cause trouble with all the cheapie routers.

Hi there. I have a WAG310g voip modem which is connected to italk. I've been having the same disconnection issues. I changed the MTU to 1300 and changed the NPT server to nz.pool.ntp.org as per previous recommendations. I've also updated the firmware to version WAG310Gv1-1.00.03(100422-1228). However the modem still drops the telephone line after a few hours (eg if I go to work, it's disconnected when I come home, or if the modem is working when I go to bed, the phone line is disconnected when I awake -hmmm. My wife isn't very happy :( I tried upgrading the firmware to WAG310Gv1-1.00.03(100701-1727) and WAG310Gv1-1.00.03(100603-1909) but with these 2 versions, the phone cannot dial out -I get a dial tone, but when I dial the number it comes up with a disconnected tone (beep beep beep). The internet works fine with these 2 later firmware versions and people can still ring our phone line (I just can't dial out). I read that these 2 later versions of firmware should work (maybe only with different provider). I would be soooo grateful if someone could please help me (my wife would be even more grateful!!). Thanks very much in advance :)

Interestingly just lately my WAG310 has stayed connected for the longest time. It is showing 14 days of up time now which is the longest it has ever gone without me having to power off and then back on again and the downstream and upstream rates are staying constant as well 5696 and 576 Kbps respectively (Still on ADSL1 speeds of course). So cant explain why whether its to do with the last firmware upgrade or maybe Chorus did something over at the exchange to the equipment who knows but certainly not complaining and hopefully no more problems.
