Dont ever ever ever ever use Woosh

* I cancelled my account - they forgot that I had done that and wanted to continue to bill me.

* I called and said "no no I cancelled and moved to Orcon" they said "oh ok hummm well you still have this $10 from a topup you did do you want to pay that now via credit card?" I said "yes ok". They did this then gave me a reference number.

* I get emails and letters saying I still owe $10 and that they will direct debit it. I said "hell no you wont if you do I will be very mad"

* They direct debited $10 from my account on the 18th

* I am on hold to them now after being hold for 20 mins only to be transferred because I was in the wrong queue. So I think I have been on hold for about an hour now.

tldr: Dont ever use Woosh they suck major balls.

We'd like to help you and look into this situation so we can get a better understanding of why this has happened and what we can do to avoid it occurring again. Would you be able to email with your account number and then we can look into your account and post a reply to you.

Many thanks

Woosh are still around?

I wonder how long they'll last.

Sad though, they will be a casualty of decreasing cost of data. My opinion only.

wreck90: Woosh are still around?

They acquired Quicksilver in 2006ish, so they have both ADSL customers and "wireless".  They do phone and internet reselling Telecom wholesale/Chorus services like any other non LLU ISP.

While their wireless service is pretty awful (unless you can't get anything else or are in a lucky location) their phone/adsl service is just like any other ISP.

Personally I wouldn't choose them over say: Telecom, Telstraclear, Maxnet, Snap, Vodafone or Xnet but hey consumers choice... plenty of people using Orcon, Slingshot, Woosh despite the service issues we see posted on the forums all the time... due to the cheaper price.
