Hi there,
I am looking for a good isp with ok/good download speeds (should not decrease at night), though a cheap internet usage plan....

If someone knows of some could you please post the name, download speeds and $ per gig?
Thanks!

You need to make your pick from two of these three.

Cheap, Lots of Data or Fast

Unless you are in Telstra Cable zone etc, I would suggest Snap or Telecom, They tend to have enough bandwidth and not experience major peak time speed drops.

If you want lots of data with Fairly Average speeds at the best of times Slingshot offer unlimited offpeak.

This used to be the best place to go for broadband plan comparisons... not sure how up to date it is now though.

I imagine most people would vote for the ISP they are with, which means my vote goes to Vodafone. I get 45gb per month for $58 (Naked DSL in Red Zone with a linked On Account mobile)

im with snap and love them.

i get around 1.4 MB/s download max, upload not sure.
extra data after you go over your cap is around $2 a gig, or i think $36 for 20gb.

my 2 cents

Personally I've had the best experience speed wise with Telecom, service unless you get a CSR from NZ is total rubbish. Vodafone has great pricing 45GB + Phone for 100$ a month, they have some wierd issues from time to time, but still, can't beat that pricing.

Lifee: Hi there,

The best value is going to depend on what combination of phone and internet you need.

Few questions to ask:

- Are you are in Christchruch or Wellington? Cable may be an option instead of ADSL

- Do you need a home phone service or do you just want internet access?

- Would you make national, international and to mobile calls from your home phone service, if so roughly how many minutes per month?

- Roughly how much data per month do you think you need, eg: 10GB, 20GB, 40GB, 80GB etc?
