At present the phones are still being worked on, we hope to have them working soon.

We have had a major outage from Tuesday evening 18th Oct until Friday 21st Oct

which resulted in many connections failing and a failure of VOIP calls

also. Many of you may have tried to call us but as our own phones are

all VOIP based we were also unable to recieve or respond to calls so

do apologise that we were not able to reply.

We have DSL working & some voip, and email is going from Thursday evening

Some clients on DSL may need to restart their modem/routers (power off for 20 seconds),

in a few cases it may be necessary to hard code our DNS servers IP (180.189.208.8 or 66.246.76.21)

into your router although this generally shouldn't be required.

Wireless is expected to be up in Albany area today and VOIP is still being worked on.

We have recieved a huge volume of email enquiries which we can't effectively

respond to on an individual basis hence this general update.

All our staff are working 100% on this situation still and we will update you

when things are sufficiently sorted out that time allows.

We sincerely apologise to all affected clients for this outage.

thats the garbage they sent me which i already new. they ignored my letter of complaint. grrr

Good for you. You are a very forgiving person.
Telecom promised me last thursday that they would have connected me by tuesday afternoon. Nothing happened. Just phoned and it seems they had lost the application I walked through with the guy online. Only the first three lines were saved of the application.
So much for those here who still say if you are willing to pay a bit more, you can expect better service......

i will consider switching to Orcon, or stay with NZNet as currently their speed seems OK.

ok heres what i have had to put up with today

i got my phone back on yesterday after 17 days with no phone line from nznet. [for 2 hours] then it disconected again at 5.30. sighs.
[had  the net crashing heaps from them too]

i called telecom last week to get it connected. i gave in when nznet finally got my phone working yesterday.

i called 3 times. yes 3 times. to confirm the cancellation with telcome yesterday

telcom disconnected my internet with nznet.
nznet told me more than once that my internet was FINE with them and things were all ok. they lied.
nznet lied through their teath with me today. saying it WAS connected on their side. that was all lies.

im fed up with nznet lies. they say they are going to compensate with me. but i dont know
all the trouble i have had with them has worn me out.

i wouldnt trust anything nznet knows. they cant even tell if an acount is connected with them.
the telcom guy told me that they would have to get a person to go to the telecom box to connect my internet. my internet wasnt connected with nznet at all.

im fed up with the lies and the loss of time [i work online..] its just driving me insane. now i hope that since im with telecom nznet will behave? i wish..

you're right.. new to forum and didn't check above.

Ragnor, I'm on here as worked with Super dockets and know firsthand of comments from NZNET and its directors. - They do work by the way :) for those who get out and about and do shopping :) not a sales pitch, just be mindful that things you don't use - others do.

- hope those people who are on NZNET don't get too burnt moving forward.

Fair enough, what's what's approximate conversion rate for signups from docket advertising?

If you look at most DSL plans the ARPU for the ISP is maybe something like $10/month per user (or less).  If you spend 90k on docket advertising probably you need at least 750 signups to 12 mo contract to even make that money back, you'd probably want more like 1500 signup's for it to not be a waste of time/money.

Cheers Ragnor,

Needless to say there's a few things to consider, and proof can be noted with the high number of clients renewing year on year who measure results and ROI, also helps greatly to have strong relationship with clients - not those who pay less than 5%
:)
