Lets be honest here, NZnet is not the first ISP most of us have gone too, for most of us we ended up here cos all the major ones are crap, and a pain to deal with, are have tiny data plans.

For decent speed and data usage NZnet is prob the best i have been with, I pay $170 a month for 200gb a month ( and i use it all ), and you can get that anywhere else without paying a lot more.

NZNet is more suited for large data users if you are with NZnet and only use 10- 20 gb there are heaps of better ISPs, but for large data there are not to many options,

This is my first problem with NZnet, yes they have not handled it very well, but when do any of the ISPs actually help you when you have a problem. Was with Orcon before, worst experience ever, there speeds where crap and they said it was not there fault, switched provider and wow, speed is back, Idiots.

Your right about those slingshot plans they are crazy cheap however I'm pretty sure they throttle you badly whereas there is no throttling on NZNet.

Not an option for me as they don't have good value high data.

Orcon doesn't look bad for $240 you can get 300gb but that's still quite a step up from NZNet pricing.

im only needing around 60g but considering the long weekend. should i call tomorrow to change internet providers. or wait till next Tuesday. would the time matter?
and from the posts earlier. i wouldnt have to worry about the 200$ disconnection fee that nznet will bill me?

I am pretty sure Orcon throttle heavy users even though they say they dont.
I would never go back to them

Not everyone is having an issue. Im currently at my boyfriends house who is also with NzNet and they only lost internet for 1 night. After changing their DNS it's been working perfectly. Sadly it didnt work for me at home.
