Nothing for work or home. :-)

When you live your life on Twitter and Facebook, and are only friends with like minded people on Twitter and Facebook, you are not living in the real world. You are living in a narcissistic echo chamber.

My thoughts are my own and are in no way representative of my employer.

When I get a chance, I'll try it from my VF 3G AP, its using (direct.vf.co.nz) so goes through a NAT to get outside.

And I have only ever had one external IP address from it... Would kinda be interesting to see if people use a 3G connection to download some torrents...

Just visited the site from my home connection and it says I'm all clear! This is despite torrenting an album recently (of a damaged CD that I own!)

This is taking off worldwide. It is unfortunate they did not put more thought into it.

For example: "If you have any friends who use torrents, use it to scare them off"

It gives the impression that all torrenting is for unlicensed material, or if your ip address appears here you should be concerned either you or someone else on your connection is using torrents to download unlicensed material.

+ total lack of information for nearly every single home user in relation to dynamic changing ip address.

I found this quite amusing quote from a techcrunch.com article.

Torrent Freak head honcho Ernesto dug up some pretty hilarious dirt. Apparently employees from Sony, Universal, Google, and Fox have all pirated content like Game of ThronesThe Hangover, and even a copy of Windows 7. (P.S. Ernesto’s search for past indiscretions at BitTorrent’s San Francisco HQ came up empty-handed.)
