Hi all, I've been looking for these keyboards at every 2nd hand shops I can find but there were lots of problem that came to my mind.

The first one is that, by the time this was typed, more and more people realised how awesome these keyboards are, meaning that the chances of finding one lying around at a second hand store are slim.

Second, there's not much stores around Auckland that specialises in selling electronics, especially very old computers.

So what are the bets of finding these or any other older, 80s style keyboards in every stores or flea markets as of today? I however, saw one on Trademe "brand new". But the only issue is the price. And the another one is the attitude of the seller Tongue Out

There are a billion of these on eBay. I used to have these when growing up. These days I use the aluminum keyboard from Apple

Have you considered a modern mechanical keyboard like the Corsair K60?

Ragnor: Have you considered a modern mechanical keyboard like the Corsair K60?

It's within my consideration, along with a Cherry MX Brown keyboard (like the ones from Ducky, Filco, etc). I have tried the Blacks and the Blues, but they don't fit too well.

Sounds like you've done your research.

Is your usage primarily typing or gaming?

I presume you've seen the excellent guide at:

I did quite alot of research, but that'll go on until "proper" mechanical keyboards starts appearing on our shores or globally. I also discovered some other switches made by Cherry and more of them by different manufacturers such as Alps, Topre and so on.

Thought I'll give an update on my hunt for this keyboard

Been through more second hand stores I could find closest to my area, still no sign of it. My fear is that there is now a slim chance that I could ever find these in any second hand dealers very cheap as of today. But my consideration into modern mechanical keyboards is still on the card. The one on Trademe, as I mentioned earlier, had its buy now price gone down substantially. But when I saw lots more on Ebay Australia, there's plenty of people selling these, but some are almost as the same price as the one on Trademe.
