For a couple of weeks now my PC takes AGES to turn on in the morning. I turned it on at 10:15am this morning and went for a nap at 12:15 and it still wasnt on then. I am wondering wether it is the monitor at fault or the VGA cable?
The VGA cable seems to be stuck inside the monitor. I cannot rotate one of the pins(?) and the second is a bit tricky but it is do able. I have tried a screwdriver and pliers but that only screwed up the pin and now it looks munted. I was looking to pull the plug out and place it back in because I thought maybe it was in 2 tight or maybe not tight enough, although I doubt that.
When I turn the PC on there is a black screen for about an hour and a half and then it starts flickering. It starts off by just the screen flickering, then eventually the light will turn on on the monitor (and go off, then on, then off etc) and then the brand of the monitor will show up on screen for a split second, go away for 5 seconds, come back etc. This is like a big loop and it keeps repeating the same thing over and over but through time it gets to 100%.
When the monitor eventually turns on it is fine it doesnt flicker or anything.
I think it could be the cable but not sure.
What do you guys think? Let me know if you want to know anything about the monitor or whatever.
Thanks for all the help, Happy New Year! :)
