I have a portable hard drive (1.5TB) in my bag that I carry to work. It is a backup of my stuff from home, I transfer it to another HDD (2TB) at work.

I would like, if possible, to have some security on the drive. Nothing fancy, just a "Enter password to continue" type of thing, when I either insert the USB plug or when I first try to access the drive.

Is Truecrypt the best for this? I found a good how-to here: http://www.howtogeek.com/61810/how-to-protect-your-flash-drive-data-with-truecrypt/

It seems a bit of overkill and a bit complicated for what I want, but I can't really find something as simple as what I want.

Can I make the entire disc a Truecrypt container?
