Intel over AMD according to the benchmarks. Also who wants a silly game themed side panel, computers last years, a new flavor of the month game will be out soon.

I'd look at whether Seagate SSDs are any good, Samsung 840 pro was what I got recently. I also tend to prefer nVidia based graphics, mostly because they generally work better with Adobe products. Noctuna do good fans, but my CPU fans are 2x140mm, very quite. I'd make sure the case was stuffed with good quality quiet fans, as large and as many as possible, along with some intelligent way to control the fan speeds automatically.

I cannot comment on the specifics of amd 8 core vs intel quad with hyperthreading (which is the i5 4570) and amd vs Nvidia ... sorry

but I have an issue with your monitor :D

you really should save up for a 27" with 2560x1440 resolution :D
or a 2nd hand 24"1080p :D

PS by the way I really think you should look at windows 8 with a windows 7 shell program. it will work much better. it is 99% windows underneath the additional in your face "modern"(previously metro) interface which can be completely bypassed.

Yeah I definitely think I'll go Intel over AMD, and I know nVidia cards work better with WoW too.

Yeah I'll be upgrading my monitor soon, but I want the PC first. :)

Windows 7 shell program?

What are your thoughts on this place

Well it's called "Just Laptops", and the page text sounds weird, poorly written. I would probably go with the established, recommended stores above.

I've built my last half dozen PCs, but not I know local stores will supply components and build for me I'd probably do that. It's a hassle when you only build one every few years, plus a bit of experience means you can set up the fan stuff properly, route cables nicely, etc.

why does he need a 27" monitor with 2560x1440 resolution? that's a bit overkill, considering they run ~$6-700 a pop. even the korean ips monitors are about $400 and require decent GPU to keep the frame rate up while maintaining quality.

I'll definitely look into that shell program .

My budget doesn't cover buying a monitor at the moment, so I'd rather have a good PC first. :)

in that case i suggest getting a 2nd hand graphics card. they are dirt cheap and will easily max out your monitor.

i can't recommend which one, butmaybe start another thread to ask for the best bang for buck 2nd hand graphics card.

then when you get the midrange monitor you can get another 2nd hand graphics card that will max out that one, or if you decide to get a super monitor you can get a higher end one.

because the graphics card depreciate faster than the government's assets it' no point buying one for a future monitor you don't even have

his would definately be worth the buy for you, you can always swap the windows 8 to windows 7 for free... It has a large Graphics card for your gaming as well as a good SSD which you could put your OS on. It has great space and you do not need 16gb of RAM for gaming, 8gb is more than enough.
