Hi there,

I'm currently stuck in a bind and thought I'd get some opinions on this.

I'm currently looking at upgrading my computer and I need a monitor to go with it. I'm looking at 24" sizes as they will fit my desk nicely. I've looked into the Dell Ultrasharp U2412M and I like the fact that it's got an IPS panel as the colors are supposed to be much better. However, I've also recently come across the 144Hz (TN) monitors and hear that people who go that route swear by them.

I do a mix of things on my computer, I game maybe 60-70% of the time on it (all sorts, MMOs, RPG, FPS, RTS, etc) as well as edit photos, watch movies and anime and work. Basically I'm stuck with the question of do I go for better looks or faster speeds? and is 144Hz REALLY that great? And if 144Hz, which one would you guys recommend?

Advice appreciated smile

LG have some pretty decent IPS monitors at a good price. The 24MP55HQ is one of them
