Hi Guys, i am a newbie here. I have encountered errors with my internal hard drive. It wont show up in My Computer. Can someone please help me here? I dont want to lose any of my important data in it. Please please help me out.

Personal preference really.

With the consolidation of the drive manufacturers only 3 companies make drives any more, every other brand of drive is just rebranded OEM product You have Toshiba, Seagate, and WD, and only the last two target the consumer market. 

I prefer WD over Seagate, others views may differ.






Information wants to be free. The Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

I prefer Western Digital over Seagate as well. In my experience Western Digital drives fail less.
