Anyone know of some free (preferably) software that can allow time limits on programs on Windows 7 ?

I need to limit the time my daughter spends in Minecraft - I use Family Safety to limit overall time on the PC but want to be able to control access to various programs etc as well. Family Safety lets you turn apps on and off, but not with a time schedule.

TIA

I use Times Up Kids for my boys, it lets you set useful time limits. It has a 30 day free trial, and one licence covers all your PCs. It was about US$30 I think.

There was free software that used to provide program limits but I couldn't find it when I searched just now.

I know that crawler LLC had a free product but BE WARNED that their products cause lots of problems particularly installing their Crawler ToolBar.

I did find these products which I've never used:
Software Time Lock software time lock USD30
HomeGuard Activity Monitor USD39

Do you want time limits (e.g. maximum 1 hour per day) or limited schedule (can only play it between 5-6pm each day)?    If the latter would it be possible to create a second "minecraft account", install minecraft only on that account,  and then use Family Safety\Parental Controls to limit login to it?  (A bit clunky, but just a thought)

Minecraft (now owned by Microsoft) is highly, highly addictive for children.
It frightens me.
Instant child zombie.
If you allow your children an hour on a computer they will probably spend 99% of their time on Minecraft.
I'd love to be able to ration Minecraft independently of online time.

Yeah, she only started playing in the past year, and her attitude has changed etc, talks nothing except Minecraft - so hence my wanting to limit her use on it. Dont mind her using the PC for other things, she doe watch quite a bit of educational stuff on You Tube, usually on whatever subject theyre doing at school at the time.

Minecraft needs to introduce a "kids" mode where parents can enforce timers within the game itself ;)
